[August 18, 2020]    The days of Tiger Woods dominating his competition might to be over, but the days of his son Charlie doing may just be getting started.

The younger Woods, 11, played in a U.S. Kids Golf Foundation-sanctioned event in Palm City, Fla., earlier this month and routed the field in his age group. Woods was the only player to break par, his 3-under 33 over the nine holes five strokes better than the score of his nearest competitor. He carded three birdies and six pars.

And if having a 15-time major winner for a father weren't advantage enough, Charlie Woods had his dad caddying for him during the event. Photos of them on the course emerged on social media.

Charlie is one of two children Tiger, 44, has with ex-wife Elin Nordegren. They also have a 13-year-old daughter, Sam.

"He's starting to get into it," Woods recently told GolfTV of Charlie's interest in golf. "He's starting to understand how to play. He's asking me the right questions. I've kept it competitive with his par, so it's been just an absolute blast to go out there and just, you know, be with him. It reminds me so much of me and my dad growing up."

Tiger Woods is scheduled to play in The Northern Trust this weekend, the first event in the FedEx Cup playoffs. Though the tournament is at TPC Boston in Norton, Mass., Woods spent Monday in Mamaroneck, N.Y., playing a practice round with Justin Thomas at Winged Foot, the site of next month's U.S. Open.
