Habitat for Humanity to host groundbreaking August 23rd, celebrating 25th build in Logan County

[August 21, 2020]   LINCOLN -

Habitat for Humanity of Logan County has begun construction on their 25th home. Recently Nicole White was designated as the future homeowner with her two children. Official groundbreaking will be held on Sunday, August 23 at 2:30 p.m. at the site – 718 South Madison Street in Lincoln.

The Public is invited and welcome to participate in this exciting venture.

Nicole will partner with Habitat for Humanity to fulfill her 250 hours of sweat equity before she receives the keys to the home.

Volunteers are welcome to be a part of the partnership by providing labor on the worksite, or proving snacks or a noon time meal. The HFHLC facebook page will post the daily work schedules for this project. Anyone may access the page and check the schedule to see what is needed on each day.

This is going to be the third home where that the Lincolnland Technical Education Center Building and Trades Class will be leading the way on the build. The LTEC will be guided by instructor John Ford, with HFHLC’s Bob Chamberlain serving as the co-build supervisor.
