[December 01, 2020]  LINCOLN - Thomas E. Eimer, 88, of Lincoln, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020, at HSHS St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield, Illinois.

Visitation: 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Holy Family Catholic Church.

Rosary: 8:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church

Mass of Christian Burial:  Thursday at 10 a.m. at the church

Funeral home: Peasley Funeral Home, Lincoln     

Obituary

Thomas E. Eimer, 88, of Lincoln, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020, at HSHS St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield, Illinois.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church on Thursday, December 3, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Jeffrey G. Laible officiating.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church.

A Rosary will be recited at 8:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church prior to the visitation.

Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lincoln. Military Rites will be accorded by Lincoln American Legion Post #263.

Thomas Eimer was born on February 12, 1932, in Lincoln, the son of Fred and Anna Feldman Eimer. He was united in marriage to Margaret Coleman on June 14, 1975. She preceded him in death on May 13, 2017.

Funeral Director

He is survived by his children: Michael Eimer, Craig (Lidia) Eimer, Cathy (Robert) Kemp, and Charlotte Baldwin; seven grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, one son: Scott Eimer, one grandson, one great-granddaughter, two brothers, and two sisters.

Tom graduated from Lincoln Community High School in 1950. He then served in the United States Navy.

He retired from the Illinois Department of Corrections after 33 years of service.

He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Holy Family Catholic Church Food Pantry, or Holy Family Catholic Church.

Final arrangements are entrusted with Peasley Funeral Home of Lincoln.
