The Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB) of Chicago’s Targeted Impact Fund provides members with grants to support relief efforts for populations hardest hit by COVID-19 as well as to promote equity and opportunity for communities of color. The Targeted Impact Fund opened on August 17, with funding available through Tuesday, November 10.

“During these unique and challenging times, we wanted to provide support for local agencies that are supporting at risk communities,” said Josh Shofner, First National Bank and Trust Company President. “We believe in helping people do more. To partner with FHLB in this way allows us to support even more of our hardest hit populations and bolster our community commitment.”

First National Bank and Trust Company donated $10,000 and the FHLB Targeted Impact Fund contributed $18,000 to round out this year's COVID-19 Relief Program response totaling $28,000 for this second round.

Earlier this year, First National Bank and Trust Company and FHLB, $10,000 and $20,000 respectively, together distributed $30,000 to three nonprofits: The Neighborhood Care Center with First Christian Church, the Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce and the Clinton Community YMCA
