On December 2, 2020, the Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention (CDC) released new options for public health
authorities to consider for establishing quarantine time frames for
contacts of a persons with COVID-19.
Despite this, The Logan County Department of Public Health (LCDPH)
has opted to continue with the 14-day quarantine guidelines as an
added safety measure.
|
To prevent the further spread of disease, people
who had contact with someone with COVID-19 are encouraged to stay
home and maintain social distance (at least 6 feet) from others
until 14 days after their last exposure to a person with COVID-19.
Contacts should monitor themselves by checking their temperature
twice daily and watching for COVID-19 symptoms, such as cough or
shortness of breath.
For those identified as needing to be in quarantine, LCDPH will help
those individuals identify the dates of their self-quarantine as
they are guided through the process. Self- quarantine means staying
home, monitoring your health, and maintaining social distancing (at
least 6 feet) from others at all times.
