opinion on matters pertaining to the community.
Controversial issues:
As a
community we need to be able to talk openly about
matters that affect the quality of our lives. The
most effective and least offensive manner to get
your point across is to stick to the issue
and refrain from commenting on another person's
opinion. Letters that deviate from focusing on the
issue may be rejected or edited and marked as such.

To the editor: Even though we
could not meet in person this year for the annual Veteran
Celebration hosted by St. John United Church of Christ in Lincoln we
did want this year to go by without saying a big THANK YOU to all
the veterans of Logan County for their service to our country and
protecting our freedom.
Each year we look forward to hosting the Celebration so we can say
thank you in person; but this year has been an interesting and
challenging year. Please know that we appreciate your service to our
country.
We were disappointed that we could not hold the annual Veterans
Celebration this year due to Covid-19. We always look forward to the
celebration so we can provide you with a fun and enjoyable evening.
