Obituary
Mary Ann Sloan, 92, passed away of
the Covid virus at 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December
8, 2020 at The Christian Village in Lincoln.
Mary Ann was born on December 24, 1927 in Lincoln,
daughter of Paul and Nora (McGill) Shay. She married
Charles H. “Chuck” Sloan on September 10, 1949 in
Lincoln. He preceded her in death on June 13, 2015.
Surviving Mary Ann is her children: Carol (Dennis)
Sheley of Lincoln and Terry (Martha) Sloan of
Lincoln; grandchildren: Charles M. “Chuck” (Gail)
Sloan, David (Tiffany) Sloan, and Andrew “Andy” (Charla)
Sheley; great-grandchildren: Ryan, Hayden, Tate,
Sara, Kristen, Matthew, Lucas, Ean, Catherine “Catey”,
and Charlee; great-great-grandson: Charlie. |
She was preceded in death by her
parents, husband, one brother, Roy and one sister,
Lois Nickel.
Cremation rites for Mary Ann will be accorded by
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home. A private
family graveside will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Cumberland Presbyterian
Church in Lincoln or the donor’s choice.
