[December 31, 2020]  HARTSBURG - Eva Mae Hildebrands, 88, loving mom and grandmother of Hartsburg, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020, at the Christian Village Nursing Home.

Visitation: Friday, December 18, 2020, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Jefferson Street Christian Church in Lincoln

Service: 2 p.m. Friday at the church

Funeral home: Peasley Funeral Home, Lincoln    

Obituary

Eva Mae Hildebrands, 88, loving mom and grandmother of Hartsburg, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020, at the Christian Village Nursing Home.

Funeral Services for Eva will be held on Friday, December 18, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Jefferson Street Christian Church in Lincoln. Mr. Michael Mallick will officiate. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery in San Jose.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service on Friday.

Eva Mae Duckworth was born October 6, 1932, in Salem, Missouri, the daughter of Ulna and Alma Watkins Duckworth. She was united in marriage with Creston James Hildebrands on April 10, 1951. He preceded her in death on July 19, 1996.

Eva is survived by six daughters: Cathy Shepler, Linda Ruder, Kim Koehne, Connie (Bob) Hunter, Diane Harris, and Lisa (Jim) West; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two brothers: Jim Duckworth and Edward Duckworth.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter, Kay Wessbecher; one son, Rodney Hildebrands; two sons-in-law: Robert Ruder and Bob Harris; one sister, Bonnie Rhoades; and one brother, Walter Farris Duckworth.

Eva was a 1950 graduate of San Jose High School. She worked at Eaton Corporation in Lincoln for 20 years. She was of the Methodist faith. Eva loved watching her grandchildren play sports. She also loved her garden and canning vegetables, and watching the Game Show Network.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Logan County Humane Society or Hartsburg Fire Department.

Final arrangements are entrusted with Peasley Funeral Home of Lincoln.
