Guests enjoyed the traditional fare at the breakfast
and settled in to await the live auction that brings in a lot of
cash for the FFA.
A fun, big money winner at the auction this year was
the auctioning off the FFA students. Each student agreed to give
four hours of their time to doing chores for the high bidder. The
kids compiled a list of chores that they were able to do for the
buyer and bidders based their choice of kid on those capabilities.
Ty Tucker served as the auctioneer again this year, and there were a
large number of items in addition to the kids to be auctioned.
Tucker made quick work of the chore and at the same time brought in
a very healthy amount of money for the club.
The FFA utilizes the funds earned to support their other activities
throughout the year.
Also on the docket for the February breakfast was a
visit from Clark the Chicago Cubs mascot. However, for the second
month in a row, the weather in the Chicago area forced the bear to
stay home. Hopefully, Clark will schedule another attempt and the
weather will cooperate.

There were a number of the guests at the breakfast who were there to
exclusively visit with Clark. Many wore their Cubbie shirts to show
support for their favorite team.
Even though the weather Sunday was nasty at best, everyone at the
Legion was warm, happy, and well filled with delicious food.
