The Lady Railers took care of business in a big
way on Tuesday night and defeated Springfield High School 61-55
in regional basketball action.
It was obvious the seniors were not ready for the season to end
as senior Leah Schnieder led Lincoln with 22 points and fellow
senior Madelyn Koehler tallied 21 points for the Lady Railers.
Lincoln played a phenomenal game and ran out to a 17-8 first
quarter lead.
The Lady Railers lead was 34-16 at the half with Schneider
already dominating the game with 16 points herself. With Koehler
pouring the points on in the third quarter the score was 49-36
in favor of Lincoln.
Koehler and Schneider refused to let up in the fourth quarter
and with buckets from Cadence Presswood and a free throw from
Ava Gorens adding to the offense, the Lady Railers took the
61-55 win over Springfield.
Lincoln advances to the regional championship game at home on
Thursday night at 7 p.m. The Lady Railers will take on
Springfield Lanphier in the title game.
The three-point competition will take place at 5:30 p.m.
