Meints Named December 2019 ALMH Colleague of the Month

Jennifer Meints of Athens has been named the December 2019 Colleague of the Month. Meints has worked at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln as a respiratory therapist for eight years.

Meints appreciates the small town feel of Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

“Each department works together as a team to take great care of our patients. I really enjoy my job and love working with such a caring group of people,” said Meints.

To become a respiratory therapist you must have a two year associate’s degree in allied health. Meints has worked in the respiratory therapy field for 29 years.

“I get to do a variety of jobs. Some days I facilitate stress tests, Holter monitors and EKG procedures. But other days I take care of patients in acute care and sometimes help with critical patients in the emergency room,” said Meints.

Meints was nominated by a colleague in the cardiopulmonary department.

“Jenny is always willing to help in any way possible. She is constantly going above and beyond,” said the nominator.
