Atlanta Quilt Corner and Atlanta Needlework
Guild, again completes a successful year in supplying local groups
and charities with handmade quilts, hats, scarves, teddy bears, and
totes.

Our donations included:
Wee Care Tree, serving 120 children in Atlanta, McLean, and
Waynesville;
60 children at St. Francis Cancer Center, Peoria;
75 Receiving blankets, 50 hats and 20 bears for Pregnancy Resource
Center, Lincoln;
Hats, scarves, and gloves, throughout the winter, for Atlanta and
Chenoa Food Banks
20 Prayer shawls and 10 afghans for Atlanta Methodist Church and OSF
Hospice, Bloomington
20 Fidget blankets and 16 adult bibs for a group home and Castle
Manor both in Lincoln
10 Twin size quilts for Atlanta Methodist Church outreach program
for Cunningham Children’s Home, Champaign

Needlework Guild meets every Monday, 1-3 p.m., 201 N Howard St,
Atlanta Manor Community Room. Quilt Corner meets every Wednesday 1-3 p.m. and
every Saturday 4-6 p.m., 106 SW 6th St., Atlanta Memorial Community House
basement. If weekly meetings are not your thing, we will provide supplies and
patterns for you to sew, knit and/or crochet items at home that would contribute
to our yearly goals. Want an afternoon out, come visit with us during any of our
meetings.
