Local volleyball official Jim Michaels was emotional Tuesday
night as Mount Pulaski Volleyball coach Donna Dulle presented him
with a check for $740.27. The check was a donation to the Lincoln
Land Area Officials Scholarship fund in memory of Michaels' late
wife. Michaels' wife passed away unexpectedly in November of 2019
and Dulle and her volleyball family wasted no time planning a
benefit that featured a pork chop dinner by donation ahead of the
volleyball matches. Every year a scholarship is given to a
graduating senior.
On the court the Mount Pulaski Honeybears Eighth Grade Volleyball
Team defeated Riverton 26-24, 18-25 and 25-11.
The Honeybears Seventh Grade Team won 25-14 and 25-15.
