C. Matthew Bradbury, MD, completed his medical and graduate
degrees at the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vt. He then
completed his radiation oncology residency at Washington University
School of Medicine in St. Louis, Mo.
Board-certified in radiation oncology, Dr. Bradbury started his
career in radiation treatment research before pursuing a career as a
physician. “I like interacting with people, helping them come up
with treatment plans that make sense for them,” he says. “I also
like sitting with families, being a good counselor and helping them
all make sometimes tough decisions.”
Simon Brown, MD, felt compelled to become a doctor after a
conversation with his grandmother, during which he found himself
wishing he could better understand and help with medical problems
she was experiencing. He received his medical degree from the
Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, S.C., and
completed his radiation oncology residency at Oregon Health Sciences
University in Portland, Ore. He is board certified in radiation
oncology.
“My favorite part of practicing medicine is how something I do today
is going to be different the next day,” he says. “Things are always
changing, there’s new data out there, there’s always a way to
improve. We just keep getting better and better, and that is
probably the most exciting thing about it.”
Daniel Ferraro, MD, completed his medical degree at the
University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City, Iowa,
followed by his radiation oncology residency at Washington
University in St. Louis, Mo.
A native of northern Minnesota, Dr. Ferraro had several family
members who had cancer and sometimes had to travel to Mayo Clinic
for treatment. “One of
my goals is to be able to give the equivalent care that you would
get at a place like Barnes here, in a more rural environment. I know
how hard it is for people to get back and forth when care is far
away from where you live. That’s one of the reasons I wanted to go
into this.” Dr. Ferraro is board certified in radiation oncology.
Kelli Fisher, APRN, CNP, completed her undergraduate degree
at MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Ill., and her graduate degree
at St. Louis University in St. Louis, Mo. Knowing that she wanted to
be a nurse at a very young age, Fisher has more than 30 years of
nursing experience. “I’m a strong advocate for making sure there is
communication among the providers to meet the patient’s treatment
plan and goals,” she says.

Adrianna Masters, MD, PhD, received her medical degree from the
University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Ky., and then
completed her residency in gynecologic oncology at Wake Forest University
Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Dr. Masters’ favorite part of practicing medicine is taking care of patients and
how varied her day can be as a doctor. “I really enjoy taking care of cancer
patients,” she says. “You have a really rare opportunity to take care of them
and provide peace for them in a very scary situation. And radiation oncology is
this neat mix of science and physics and medicine.
And you get to bond with your patients because you’re going to see them for
several weeks in a row.”
Parashar Nanavati, MD, completed his medical degree at Simmons College in
Louisville, Ky., followed by his radiation oncology residency at Northwestern
University School of Medicine in Chicago. He started the University Radiologists
group in 1981 and has been practicing medicine for nearly forty years. A pilot
and avid runner, Dr. Nanavati has valued the relationships he has had with his
patients the most throughout his career. He is board certified in radiation
oncology.
