Obituary
Gary M. Eike, 83, of Mount Pulaski
passed away on July 12, 2020 in his home in Mount
Pulaski.
Gary was born on July 23, 1936 in Stavanger, the son
of Emmett and Arrilla (Arntzen) Eike. He married Kay
Volc in September of 1956. He later married
Elizabeth Connell on June 8, 1974, she preceded him
in death on March 17, 2000. He later married Edith
Craven Donnelly in December in 2003, she survives in
Mount Pulaski.
Gary is also survived by his children, Patricia Eike
and Randal Eike; his step-children, Elana Wallace,
Barry Welch, David Donnelly, Chick Donnelly,
Charissa Howe, Julie Thorton, and Denise Miller; his
20 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his
parents; his second wife; his son, Jeffery; and his
brother, Kenneth.

Gary was a member of the Mount
Pulaski First United Methodist Church. And he loved
to work on the farm and in the fields with his
son-in-law.
A graveside service for Gary will take place at 2:00
p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Steenbergen
Cemetery in Mount Pulaski, with Rev. Brad Curtis
officiating.
Memorial donations may be made in Gary’s name to The
American Heart Association or The American Cancer
Society.
Services have been entrusted to
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Mount Pulaski.
