It was a difficult decision, made no less easy
because every community in Illinois was cancelling summer events,
the Minier Corn Daze has been cancelled for 2020. Olympia Kiwanis
Club, sponsoring organization, in conjunction with the Village of
Minier have decided we need to cancel the various events to protect
our friends and neighbors from the COVID19 pandemic which remains
problematic.

Having delivered that news, in cooperation with
the Village of Minier we will focus on making the Minier CHRISTMAS
CELEBRATION 2020 even BIGGER and better. Plans are underway to
enhance our celebration of the coming of the Christ child.
A Parade, and Santa, perhaps with some reindeer and our community
vendor fair, VIP reception, and more are all included in the plans.
Also a reception to celebrate our grand marshall and other VIPs
following the parade.

It promises to be an ALL-DAY family Adventure. Watch

The Olympia Kiwanis Club wishes you a safe summer and looks forward
to seeing you at Minier’s Christmas Celebration.
