60th Anniversary
Dale and Beverly McRoberts

[June 20, 2020]  Congratulations to Dale and Beverly McRoberts, who are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary.

The couple was married on June 19, 1960, at the Methodist Church in Waynesville. Attendants were Shirley (Rankin) Arnold, Jackie (Rankin) Gehlbach, David Sigler and Curt Hulteen.

The couple raised three children, Gayle McRoberts of Taylorville, Connie Logan of Williamsville and Sharon (Tom) Burt of Freeport. They have three grandchildren, Jennifer Mething of Nashville TN, Emily Burt and Kendall Burt of Freeport.

In 2019 the McRoberts daughters planned a large family trip, returning to sites “out west” where the family had taken vacations with the children were young. The girls planned the entire trip, made all the stay arrangements and did all the driving, making the event all that much more enjoyable for Dale and Beverly.

This year, in celebration of the anniversary the McRoberts’ are looking forward to a large family dinner.

Dale retired from Lincoln Community High School where he was a vocational teacher. Beverly is a retired legal secretary. The couple stays active with their favorite past time of square dancing, a passion they have shared for over 50 years.
