Hoops for Heroes to feature WLB girls Basketball teams and local first responders

[February 28, 2020]   LINCOLN - On March 8th, come out and enjoy an afternoon of just for fun fundraising for local veterans.

Hoops for Heroes will feature basketball games featuring the West Lincoln-Broadwell seventh and eighth grade girls’ basketball teams playing against local first responders such as the Lincoln Fire and Police departments and more. The event is a fundraiser to benefit the Land of Lincoln Honor Flight.

On the list of activities for the afternoon will be a Junior Lady Wolverines scrimmage, performance by the WLB Pom Squad and musical entertainment by the WLB students.

There will also be a half-court shot contest for prizes, 50/50 drawing, and a raffle for signed State Championship balls from the WLB girls and boys teams.

The event starts at 2:30 p.m. in the WLB gymnasium. Donations accepted at the door.
