The Mount Pulaski Hilltoppers were defeated
46-27 by the No. 2 ranked team in the state, Roanoke-Benson, on
Tuesday night in the Class 1A Sectional at Danville Schlarman.
The Hilltoppers trailed 8-2 after the first quarter and were
down 22-10 at the half. At the end of the third quarter
Roanoke-Benson held a 29-16 lead over the Hilltoppers. The final
score was 46-27.
Mount Pulaski was led in scoring by Lane Murphy with 14 points.
The Hilltoppers end the season with a 22-10 record.
