[March 09, 2020]

The US Census will be distributing invitations to respond to the 2020 Census by mail starting Thursday March 12th. Every household will receive an invitation that will include a unique Census ID number and the web address to the online portal to complete the survey. Only one member of each household needs to complete the survey even if members in the home have different last names. The ID number is attached to the household address not to name.

The 2020 Census influences community funding and congressional representation for the next decade. Its important, easy and confidential. Survey questions include total number of persons living in the household, type of home, demographics and relationship to the person completing the survey. The Census will never ask for social security numbers, political or religious based questions, citizenship status, bank account information, or ever ask for money.

Households will receive several reminders throughout March and April until the survey is completed. If the survey still has not been completed by May or June, the US Census will send an authorized Census taker to your address to assist you in completion of the survey.
