A Roosevelt University student with strong ties to the Lincoln
community has been selected to participate in the University’s
prestigious Al Golin Fellowship Program.
Sandra Morales, 24, graduated from Lincoln Community High School in
2014 and from Lincoln College in 2018.
She is one of nine Roosevelt students from diverse backgrounds
selected for the program started by Roosevelt and the global PR
agency, Golin, in 2019 in memory of late PR industry pioneer Al
Golin’s legacy of diversity and inclusion.
Morales will learn about latest practices in the PR industry and
have opportunities for networking, internships and mentoring as a
2020 Golin fellow.
“It’s a great opportunity for me to be with a progressive agency and
to learn current marketing trends,” said Morales, who first became
interested in marketing at Lincoln College where she majored in
business and administration and worked as a marketing intern.
A graduate student in Integrated Marketing Communications at
Roosevelt, Morales credits her mother and father, with giving her
support as well as a strong work ethic.

Today, she is a digital marketing intern at Roosevelt where she writes for the
Laker Life blog about activities and opportunities for students. She will
graduate in May from the University.
“We are proud of Morales as one of our student fellows and have high hopes for
what she can accomplish,” said Marian Azzaro, associate professor of integrated
marketing communications and a coordinator of the fellowship program at
Roosevelt.
“She and all of the fellows selected for this program are among the best of
Roosevelt’s students and are representatives of our next generation of
progressive and ethical leaders aligned with the University’s social justice
mission,” Azzaro said.
