The historic Oglesby Mansion organ is now part of the Elkhart Christian Church. It was disassembled from the mansion and restored in the church.

 

 


The pipes gleam in their corner of the church. They received a special coating before being installed in the church.

 

World renowned organist and educator Dr. Paula Romanaux PhD about to treat the audience to a concert on the 134-year-old Pilchers organ that was originally made for and placed in the Gov. Oglesby mansion on Elkhart Hill.
 


The organ is tucked into a corner of the Elkhart Christian Church.

 


Dr. Romanaux discusses her quest to find the Carnegie Organs in Illinois. She has discovered 207.

 


As part of the concert and lecture at the Elkhart Christian Church, Dale Rogers (L) of the American Guild of Organists along with Dr. Romanaux, presented Elizabeth Ann Anderson (R) of Elkhart with an award celebrating her over sixty years as an organist at the church.

 

 

Elizabeth Ann Anderson surrounded by her proud family. The award celebrated her dedication as organist and her service to the Elkhart Christian Church.
