Obituary
John Eldon Long, Sr., 82, of
Broadwell, passed away Wednesday February 26, 2020,
1:45 pm at his home in Broadwell.
Visitation will be Wednesday March 4, 2020, from
11:00 am to 12:00 noon at Calvert & Johnson Memorial
Home, 416 Edward St. Henry. Funeral services will
follow at 12:00 noon. Pastor Terry Broady will
officiate. Burial will follow at Henry Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the family.
John was born October 23, 1937 in Germantown, IL to
Guy and Mary (Randall) Long, he married Mary King in
1959. She survives.
Also surviving are his children, Dawn Mull, of
Bowling Green, KY, John (Betty) Long, Jr, of
Champaign, Riccardo Long, Thomas E. Long, of Henry,
Glenn Long, of Danville, Joseph (Koiko) Long, of HI,
Sandra Sue Long, of Lincoln and Kenneth Long, of
Broadwell, and many grandchildren and
great-grandchildren.
His parents, eight brothers and five sisters,
preceded him in death.
John had worked in the construction field, working
for the Laborers Local of Bloomington, IL for over
60 years.
