Over the last week or so, some may have noticed that something is not quite right at Mission Church of God in Lincoln. The building at 601 Pulaski Street is missing some of the parapet. According to Carrie Groves, a member of the church, the high winds on April 25th blew in the exterior wall. The bricks then fell through the roof of the building and into the church interior. Groves noted that it was quite a sight with the rain coming in through the roof and into the church. Ami Krywyn of the church noted that the bricks damaged the roof and several trusses. She said that inspections and assessments have already been done and the repair of the building. Though no time is a good time for this type of experience, it is noteworthy that because of Covid-19 church activities are on hold right now.
