WHO: Eligible organizations include nonprofits, local units of government, faith-based tax exempt organizations, businesses, community and neighborhood associations. R3 zones were identified using community-level data on gun injury, child poverty, unemployment, and state prison commitments and returns, combined with disproportionately impacted areas identified by DCEO.

Only applicants seeking funding for programs within a designated R3 zone will be considered eligible for this funding.

WHY: The R3 program seeks to repair the harm caused by the war on drugs by ensuring that the programs funded are equitable and provide the services needed in the most vulnerable areas across the state.
