Have you completed the 2020 Census?

Community Action Partnership for Central Illinois encourages you to complete your 2020 Census to protect the community resources and services you value most. First round of invitations to respond were sent out in March notifying households of the opening of the first ever online Census survey. Since then the US Census Bureau has sent out paper questionnaires to those that have yet to respond. The online survey can be found at my2020census.gov. For those that are unable to complete their survey online or have not received a paper questionnaire, the survey can also be completed by calling 1-844-330-2020.

This year the survey is simplified version compared to previous years with a total of nine questions. “I completed the survey online from the comfort of my own home. It was so easy and took me under ten minutes to complete for a four-person household. It takes less than ten minutes to impact the next ten years.” Said CAPCIL Director of Agency Development, Breann Titus

If the survey still has not been completed by June or July, the US Census will send an authorized Census taker to your address to assist you in completion of the survey.

Self-responding now can prevent a Census taker from visiting your home during the “shelter in place” order, protecting both persons.

To receive quick answers to your 2020 Census questions, you can text “Questions” to 987-987. For more information on the 2020 Census, you can visit the US Census website at www.2020census.gov.
