LINCOLN
- With no official graduation gathering this year, Lincoln Community
High School organized a vehicle parade through town for its seniors
on Saturday morning. The parade ran from the Logan County Fairground
to downtown by way of Woodlawn Road, Keokuk and Kickapoo Streets.

More than 100 cars gathered fairground as large
numbers of spectators assembled along the parade route in
preparation for the Class of 2020 Senior Parade.
Large and small signs along the parade route wished students
congratulations. Cars were decorated with signs, balloons, and photo
posters of the graduates. Some of the students drove themselves
through the parade. Parents or family members drove others. Seniors
were in the back of pick-up trucks, in convertibles and even
standing inside vehicles with their heads out the sunroofs.

The Lincoln Police Department escorted with several
Logan County Fire departments bringing up the rear.
A quick trip around the Logan County Courthouse Square was made
before the cars proceeded to the high school via Kickapoo and Wyatt
Avenue.
