On Saturday,
volunteers from Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln and Thrivent
Financial members joined together to prepare food bags that would be
donated to the Lincoln Logan Food Pantry.
Thrivent Financial received grants through the Thrivent Action Team
Program to assist with the purchase of food. "Our thanks go to IGA
for supplying the food and various members of Zion Lutheran Church,
Lincoln, and Thrivent members who helped package and deliver the
bags," said Linda Aper on behalf of the group.
The group collected and bagged more than $1,000 in food products
that they delivered to the Lincoln Logan Food Pantry. Aper said that
there would be additional donations made throughout November.
