Saturday, October 24, 2020 was a chilly morning
in Jacksonville, but the LCHS Boys Cross Country team managed to
get fourth place, and the LCHS Girls Cross Country team got
fifth place to advance both teams to sectionals, according to
Coach Andrew Hite.

"Becca Heitzig finished second for the girls, and her brother
Brenden finished eighth for the boys," said Hite.
"The Glenwood Titans really dominated out there," said Hite.
"They had six of the top 10. Their seventh runner was in 12th
place. Each team could have a maximum of seven."
"I'm really proud of both groups from Lincoln," continued Hite.
"We have worked hard this season, and with Sectionals being the
final stop no matter the finish, the seniors are going to have
this memory for a long time. It is a pleasure to be a part of
it."
