Obituary
Marie Allen Skelton, 94, passed away
at 3:54 p.m. on Wednesday November 4, 2020 at
Generation of Lincoln.
Marie was born on August 17, 1926 in Atlanta,
daughter of Robert Edward and Lula Mae (Mills)
Allen. She married Bert Skelton on August 17, 1943
in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. He preceded her in death on
July 15, 1998.
Surviving Marie are her children: Joyce Skelton of
Lincoln, Mary Hashman of Springfield, Linda Hashman
of Lebanon, KY, and Paul “Buck” Skelton of Lincoln;
14 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by her parents, three sons: Duane,
Dean, and Bob; five brothers, and one sister. |
Marie retired from St. Gobain Bottle
Factory and was a member of the Middletown American
Legion Auxiliary.
A visitation for Marie will be held from 10:00 a.m.
to 12:00 noon Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln,
where face masks and social distancing will be
enacted.
A private family burial at Camp Butler National
Cemetery will be held.
