On Thursday, November 19 at 6:30 p.m., the Young
Conservatives of Logan County held their first organizational
meeting. The group voted to accept bylaws and elected officers. They
also discussed their plans and goals for 2021.
The elected officers are Kate Wright, President; David Sanders,
Vice-President; Kim Coers, Secreatry; and Adair Van Hook, Treasurer.
The officers will serve for two years, until November 2022.
Young Conservatives of Logan County also has three standing
committees, a Recruitment Committee, an Advocacy Committee, and a
Social Committee. Dale Nelson was appointed as the chairman of the
Advocacy Committee. Possible chairmen for the Recruitment Committee
and Advocacy Committee were discussed, but not appointed.
Meeting time was established as 6:30 p.m. on the first Thursday
of every month. The 2021 schedule will include meetings in January, March, May,
July (moved to the second Thursday to accommodate Independence Day), September,
and November.

The next meeting of the Young Conservatives of Logan County will
meet on January 7 at 6:30 p.m. at Prairieland Christian Church at 208 1st
Street, Hartsburg.
