The
number of passengers screened on the Sunday after Thanksgiving
last year was 2.88 million, the highest ever recorded by the
agency.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention earlier this
month urged Americans not to travel during this week’s
Thanksgiving holiday to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus
as cases of COVID-19 spike around the United States.
