The Railers Boys and Girls Cross Country teams
swept the competition last Thursday at Manito.
According to Coach Andrew Hite, "Out in Manito we had a great
showing. Eight of our runners had season best efforts. Both the
boys and the girls won their races.
Brenden Heitzig came in first place, as did his sister Becca
Heitzig. Lincoln had five of the top 10 for the boys and the
girls had four in the top five."
Hite continued, "The weather was just about as nice as it gets
for this sport. It was cool and cloudy, but it was also a little
windy. Our runners were excited to get out there. At times the
sun came out to provide a little warmth for the spectators."
"I continue to see improvements each time we go out there, so I
am very proud of these runners," said Hite.

Note: In the boys' results they switched Ethan and Jake Bivins'
times.
