Internationally, Kiwanis Clubs are known for
“serving the children of the world” and the local Kiwanis Club of
Lincoln takes that to heart with a passion to focus on the youth of
Logan County. This year the club decided to donate $250 to each of
the eleven schools in Logan County to be used towards supplies
needed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

A representative from each school was invited to
attend a lunch meeting for a formal presentation. When asked what
the school planned to use the money on, many commented that the
funds would go towards a variety of COVID related items such as
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), cleaning supplies, air
purifiers, plexi glass dividers, masks and hotspots for remote
learning.
This school year has been challenging for everyone. The Kiwanis Club
is honored to have the opportunity to help cover some of the
additional expenses a pandemic creates. Thank you to all the school
administrators, staff, teachers, and board members for working hard
on creating a plan to keep students safe. Thank you to all the
students and parents for managing the new guidelines.
