Vesey signs one-year deal with Maple Leafs

[October 12, 2020]    Forward Jimmy Vesey signed a one-year, $900,000 contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs on Sunday.

 

The 27-year-old recorded nine goals and 11 assists in 60 games with the Buffalo Sabres last season. Previously, Vesey spent three seasons with the New York Rangers and he has totaled 110 points (59 goals, 51 assists) in 304 career games.

Vesey, the Hobey Baker Award winner as the NCAA's top men's ice hockey player in 2015-16 when he played for Harvard University, entered the NHL as a third-round draft choice (66th overall) by the Nashville Predators in 2012.
