Clifford, a two-time Stanley Cup champion with
the Los Angeles Kings, said he believes he's a good fit with his
new team.
"I pride myself on being hard to play against and not taking any
nights off," Clifford said. "That goes with the whole Blues
identity, right through the lineup. That's how they play.
"The way St. Louis plays, it fits my game perfectly."
Clifford, 29, recorded 17 points (seven goals, 10 assists) in 69
games with the Kings and Toronto Maple Leafs this past season.
He did not have a point in the five playoff games for the Maple
Leafs, who acquired him in a trade on Feb. 5.
Clifford has collected 132 points (61 goals, 71 assists) in 676
career games since being selected by Los Angeles in the third
round of the 2009 NHL Draft. He won the Stanley Cup with the
Kings in 2012 and 2014.
