[September 10, 2020]   This past week, Governor Pritzker signed an order that suspended the provisions of the Open Meetings Act. Because we are able to do so, and to comply with the recommended social distancing, the City will conduct it's Council meeting via email. It is always our goal to maintain transparency to our residents, so the only item of business will be to approve the claims and accounts.

This will enable us to pay our outstanding bills so that we can continue to operate. All other matters of business that can wait will not be discussed as we explore ways to allow public comments before moving forward with important decisions.

Please continue to comply with the orders that have been executed by the State and Federal government.

The City has not made any extra orders outside of these. We thank you for your patience during these times.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.

Mayor
