Logan County Department of Public Health reports first COVID-19
death in the county

An individual in their 70's being treated for
COVID-19, has died at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield,
Illinois on August 7.

The individual was a Logan County, Illinois
resident and had been hospitalized since July 25, 2020. This
is the first reported death related to COVID-19 in Logan County.
"We are very saddened to hear of the passing of this
individual," said Kara Davis, RN, BSN, Director of Nursing at the
Logan County Department of Public Health. "It is very
important that we all do our best to practice social distancing,
wear masking, hand washing and staying home if we do not feel well."
