Merlin G. "Cricket" Billington, 89, of Atlanta passed away on
Friday, September 11, 2020 at St. Clara's Senior and Rehab Center in
Lincoln. |

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a
later date.

Merlin G. "Cricket" Billington, 89,
of Atlanta passed away on Friday, September 11, 2020
at St. Clara's Rehab and Senior Care Center.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a
later date.
Burial will be in the Atlanta Township Cemetery.
Merlin G. Billington was born on October 19, 1930 in
Atlanta the of Cecil Glen and Clara Luisa Trago
Billington. He was united in marriage to Delores A.
Miller on February 26, 1955. She preceded him in
death on March 28, 2018 in Atlanta.
He is survived by his children: Theresa (David)
Miley, Stephen (Penny) Billington, Sherrilyn (Hoot)
Foss, Donna (Gary) Knight. Fourteen grandchildren,
forty-two great grandchildren and two great great
grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, one son:
Merlin G. "Butch" Billington , Jr., two great
grandchildren, two brothers: Howard Billington and
Harold Billington. |
Merlin served in the United States
Air Force.
He retired from Pittsburgh Plate Glass.
He and his wife enjoyed camping and fishing at Lake
Shelbyville.
Memorials may be made to DeVita Health Care, Castle
Manor or St. Clara's Rehab and Senior Care Center.
Quiram Peasley Funeral Home is in charge of
arrangements.
