[April 09, 2021]  MIDDLETOWN - Shirley Jean Stone, 95, of Middletown, passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2021, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.

Graveside Service:  10:00 a.m. Monday, April 5, 2021 at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Middletown

Celebration of Life:  Following the graveside at the Middletown Bible School Church

Obituary

Shirley Jean Stone, 95, of Middletown, passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2021, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.

Shirley was born on November 12, 1925 in Mason City, the daughter of Walter P. and Evelyn (Elmore) Graham. Shirley married James Lee Stone on November 10, 1946 at Irish Grove Presbyterian Church.

Shirley is survived by her husband James; children: Michael (Kathy) Stone of Springfield, OH, Penny L. (Herb) Brasher of Columbia, SC, Patrick J. (Barbara) Stone of Redmond OR, and Heidi J. (Scott) Vieira of Houston, TX., 11 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren; one sister: Bonita Rademaker of Hopedale and one brother: Robert Graham of Niantic.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Walter Graham Jr. and Bruce Graham.

She was a member of the Middletown Bible Church.

A graveside for Shirley will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 5, 2021 at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Middletown with Rev. James Terrell officiating.

A celebration of Shirley’s life will follow the graveside at the Middletown Bible School Church.

Memorial donations may be made in Shirley’s name to the family that will be distributed among numerous mission organizations.

Services are entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
