Lincoln’s Jermaine Hamlin has entered the
transfer portal according to a team spokesman. For those in our
community and area that aren’t familiar with him, Hamlin had a
solid high school career for our Railers and being a 6-foot-10
center made him a formidable teammate for the Illini squad the
last two seasons. Though he was only able to log 24 total
minutes this year, he was a valuable team member.
Hamlin closes the book on his Illini career finishing with 23
points and 16 rebounds while seeing action in 24 games. As
Illinois tries to mix & match and juggle with the NCAA’s
approved one-time transfer rule, the roster is a fluid document
seemingly changing daily. With the subtraction of Hamlin that
leaves Illinois with one open scholarship remaining.
LDN will offer updates as they are made availalbe.
