The ILRPP is an emergency rental assistance
program designed to support households in Illinois that are unable
to pay rent due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Applicants are eligible for up to 15 months of assistance. Funding
can cover the past due rent from the previous twelve (12) months and
future rental assistance for the next three (3) months, if deemed
necessary with a maximum amount of $25,000. The emergency rental
assistance is provided by the Federal government and is free to
eligible tenants and housing providers. If approved, the funding
will be paid directly to the housing provider in the form of a
check.
Eligibility requirements Include:
- Tenants’ household total gross income cannot exceed 80& Area
Median Income
- Household has experienced a loss of income due to COVID-19
CAPCIL is currently collecting contact information for interested
applicants. Applications will not be processed until May of 2021. This
application will be a joint application between the housing provider and the
tenant, requiring documentation from both parties.
