Obituary
Kenneth George Sheley, 77, passed
away at Memorial Medical center in Springfield, on
April 21, 2021.
Kenneth was born on February 17, 1944; son of George
and Catherine (Stoltz) Sheley. He married Karen
Shelton on November 11, 2016 in Lincoln. She
survives him.
Also surviving Kenneth are his children: Katie (Roy)
Johnson, Kristi (Dave) Lemke, Brian (Heather)
Ferguson Sheley, and one step-daughter Tommie Baker;
his grandchildren and step-grandchildren: Kaleb
Bottrell, Koby Bottrell, Andy Johnson, Alyssa
Johnson, Ashley Wright, Haley Wright, Ellie Wright,
Hope, Keegan, Kylan, Kingsley, Haley, Nevaeh, and
Skylar; his siblings: Ronald (Faye) Sheley, Dennis
(Carol) Sheley, Sheryl Babbs, and Sandy Millard.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and one
granddaughter: Danielle Wright. |
Kenneth proudly served his country in
the United States Army. He enjoyed fishing,
shooting, reading, word search puzzles, and making
cookies for kids.
A celebration of Kenneth’s life will be held on
Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at the First Cumberland
Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m., with Pastor Steve
Blaum officiating.
Memorials may be made in Kenneth’s name to the
Wounded Warrior Project.
