Walter L. “Wally” Shawgo, 78, of Mackinaw, passed away Saturday
April 24, 2021 at OSF St. Frances Medical Center in Peoria.

Walter L. “Wally” Shawgo, 78, of
Mackinaw, passed away Saturday April 24, 2021 at OSF
St. Frances Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born July 19, 1942 in Lincoln to Clarence L.
and Alice Nation Shawgo. He married Sandra Cremeens
on April 7, 1964, and she survives.
Also Surviving are his children, Michelle (Craig)
Friend of Mackinaw, Pam (Scott) Zepplin of St. Marys,
GA, and Allen (Cathy) Shawgo of Pekin; five
grandchildren, Savannah, Kristen (Alex), Hannah,
Ally, and Madison; six great grandchildren; and one
sister, Billie (Bruce) Huskins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one
brother, Robert Shawgo; and his beloved grand dog,
Callie.
Wally worked at Caterpillar Inc. for 30 years.
He enjoyed traveling and fishing. He was a handy man
and would fix anything for you.
A graveside service was held Tuesday, April 27, 2021
at Mackinaw Township Cemetery.
