Lincoln Daily News
welcomes letters of appreciation, information and
opinion on matters pertaining to the community.
Controversial issues:
As a
community we need to be able to talk openly about
matters that affect the quality of our lives. The
most effective and least offensive manner to get
your point across is to stick to the issue
and refrain from commenting on another person's
opinion. Letters that deviate from focusing on the
issue may be rejected or edited and marked as such.

To the editor: The Military
Tribute Banner Program has reached its third-year anniversary.
On behalf of myself and the community of Lincoln, a special thanks
to Kirby Rogers and the Lincoln Rotary Club. Kirby has been full
throttle with this project and our banners wouldn’t be in place
without him putting in the work.
Special thanks to the city of Lincoln. Walt Landers and his team for
putting up the banners, taking them down, rehanging and fixing
brackets.
[to top of second column in this letter] |
Special thanks to the rest of the steering committee
members for making this possible for the city of Lincoln.
More banners will be hung this year so be on the look out for new
hometown hero faces.
