Obituary
Janice A. Helton, 78, passed away on
July 23, 2021, at her home in Lincoln.
Janice was born on May 26, 1943, in Tallula,
daughter of George G. and Annie E. (Barrett) Helton.
Janice was a supervisor at Saint Gobain Containers
for 37 years, she retired in 2003.
Surviving Janice are her brothers: Calvin Elmo
Helton and Philip James Helton: grandsons: Anthony
M. Whitacre, Justin R. Whitacre, and step-grandson
Triston Steen. Several nieces and nephews and friend
and roommate for 50 plus years Cecilia A. Ott.
Janice was preceded in death by her parent’s, one
son Anthony L. Helton, brothers: Almon A. Helton,
Loren T. Helton, Paul J. Helton, Billie R. Helton,
and half-brother Carl J. Lingo; sisters: Barbara J.
Parrott, Emmer M. Travis, and Carol S. Helton. |
Janice loved all flowers, and
traveling to Florida, especially to Winter Haven,
and in later years to Saint Petersburg, with her
special friend Cecilia.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July
28, 2021, at 11:00 am, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln. Visitation will take place
one hour prior to service from 10:00-11:00 am.
Burial will follow the services at Zion Cemetery in
Lincoln.
Memorials may be made in Janice’s name to The
American Cancer Society.
