[August 19, 2021]  MOUNT PULASKI - Vera E. Harbarger, 96, of Mount Pulaski passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Vonderlieth Living Center in Mount Pulaski.

Visitation:  9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Mount Pulaski

Service:  11 a.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at the funeral home

Obituary

Vera E. Harbarger, 96, of Mount Pulaski passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Vonderlieth Living Center in Mount Pulaski.

Vera was born on July 27, 1925 in Edinburg, the daughter of Harvey Franklin and Florence (Mills) Reller. She married Bill Harbarger on December 25, 1945; he preceded her in death on July 2, 2001.

Vera is survived by her children, David (Bobbie) Harbarger of Rochester, Rick (Vickie) Harbarger of Lincoln, and Lisa Hopwood of Springfield; her grandchildren, Amanda (Nate) Wilson, Matt (Lauren) Harbarger, Jordan (Ezzie) Hopwood, and Erika Hopwood; and her five great-grandchildren.

Vera was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sister, Ruby; and her brothers, Darrell and Kenneth.

Vera was a member of Mount Pulaski Christian Church. She enjoyed spending time sewing, playing cards, and solving crossword puzzles.

Services for Vera will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Mount Pulaski. Visitation will take place two hours prior to the service (9:00-11:00 a.m.) also at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at Mount Pulaski Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Vera’s name to Vonderlieth Living Center in Mount Pulaski.
