Obituary
Donald L. Ware, 78, passed away at
9:09 p.m. on August 28, 2021 at his home surrounded
by his loving family.
Donald was born on August 30, 1942 in Lincoln, son
of Everett and Irma (Logan) Ware. He married
Jacquelyn “Jackie” Boyer on December 30, 1982 in
Emden. She preceded him in death on November 15,
2011.
Surviving Donald are his sons: Mark (Linda) Ware of
San Diego, CA and Michael (Helena) Ware of Columbus,
OH; step children: Connie White of Lincoln, Gary
(Glenda) Skelton of Lincoln, Terry (Frankie) Skelton
of Lincoln, Vicki (Dan) Bree of Lincoln, Kevin
(Donna Jones) Skelton of Greenview; his siblings:
Rick (Bobbie) Ware of Lincoln, Everett (Kay) Ware of
Lincoln, Lois (Paul) Robbins of Lincoln, Janet Moore
of Lincoln, and Pam Ware of Broadwell; his
grandchildren Willie Ware, Justin (Brandy)
McCormick, Ashleigh (Shawn) Klapp, Kristine
(Michael) Bryson, Mindy Skelton, Samantha Skelton,
Shannon Harris, Melissa Walker, Amber Boward, Chris
(Mandy) Cordray, Shelli (Josh) Cheek, Amanda (TJ)
Bishop, Brittney (Joe) Miller, Brook (Allen) Akowicz,
Brandy McCoy, Heather (Matt) Knight, and Dustin
Allen. And numerous great-grandchildren. |
Donald was preceded in death by his
parents, wife, three brothers, Robert, Delbert, and
Mike, and his granddaughters, Kim Taylor and Theresa
Skelton.
Donald proudly served his country in the United
States Army and was a member of the American Legion
Post # 263.
Services for Donald will be 10:00 a.m. Friday,
September 3, 2021 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral
Home in Lincoln, with Ron Otto officiating.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday
September 2, 2021 also at the funeral home. Burial
at Zion Cemetery will follow the service, where full
military rites will be accorded by the American
legion Post # 263.
Memorials may be made in Donald’s name to the
American Kidney Foundation.
