According to Michelle Bauer, who is one of the
organizers for the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary 'Shop one
Stop' event in Lincoln, this year the shoppers were out and about
early, snatching up items offered by a number of small, home-based
businesses.

The event held each year on Small Business
Saturday at the Knights of Columbus Hall was well attended
throughout the day, and vendors were excited about the number of
shoppers who stopped at their tables to make purchases.
The Shop one Stop is all inclusive with a noon time meal available
for those who are having hunger pains from all their shopping.
Throughout the main hall at the K of C, there was a variety of
businesses such as Erin Soloman with her home based business,
Giggles and Gab. Soloman designs gift baskets with specific themes.
In addition to the pre-made offerings, Soloman also took orders for
specific types of baskets based on the buyer’s preferences.
Another familiar face in the room was that of Darlene
Begolka offering a table full of grab and go Tupperware items.
Shoppers enjoyed picking up a few things for themselves. Tupperware
is also a great gift for youth heading off to college or a new
couple setting up housekeeping for the first time.

Local photographic artist Randy Washam had some amazing
offerings. Most of Washam’s works are digitally enhanced or manipulated to bring
out high color and detail. In addition to selling photos, Washam also calendars
that featured photos of local landmarks.
There were a number of other offerings from Avon products to jewelry and
garments to doll clothing and potted plants. There was indeed something for
everyone at the Saturday event in Lincoln.
