Throughout
this month, the Lincoln Arts Institute will host
a "show and sale" event for shoppers looking to
invest in some quality local art this Christmas
season. Guests will be able to view and purchase
items such as this artwork by local artist Bev
Noble.
The show will open on Thursday, December 9th at
5 p.m. with an artists' reception.
The Lincoln Arts Institute will be open each
Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and each Saturday
from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. through December 18th. In
addition, appointments for visiting the gallery
at any time can be made by contacting owner

war hero, longtime U.S. senator, presidential candidate,
dies at 98
Bob
Dole, who overcame grievous World War Two combat wounds to
become a pre-eminent figure in U.S. politics as a longtime
Republican senator from Kansas and his party's unsuccessful
1996 presidential nominee, died on Sunday at age 98.
